UK CBT hosted “Ripple Effect: Opportunities on the XRP Ledger” at UCL on 11 August 2026, bringing together students, developers, engineers, strategists and blockchain enthusiasts.

Tammy Wang examined Ripple’s role in global payments, the capabilities of the XRP Ledger, tokenisation, emerging opportunities and the XRPL AI Starter Kit.

Xiao Zhang introduced payment channels, the potential of autonomous AI agents in payments, and practical routes for newcomers who want to contribute to the ecosystem.

The programme concluded with questions, discussion and networking. The event forms part of the student engagement supported through Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative community.
