UK CBT Research Featured in Ripple’s 2026 UBRI Highlights Report

Ripple’s 2026 University Blockchain Research Initiative Highlights Report features two research articles connected to UK CBT.
“Profit or Deceit? Mitigating Pump and Dump in DeFi via Graph and Contrastive Learning” introduces PUMPWATCHER, a temporal graph-learning framework tested on 924,508 Uniswap transactions. The study achieved 92.3 percent balanced accuracy in identifying pump-and-dump activity.
“How the interplay between power concentration, competition, and propagation affects the resource efficiency of distributed ledgers” develops a framework for understanding how mining-power concentration, competition and propagation delays shape fork rates, security and resource efficiency in proof-of-work systems.
The report brings together peer-reviewed blockchain and digital-asset research from university partners across four continents. UK CBT thanks Ripple and the wider UBRI team for supporting research with practical relevance.
