UCL Validator: Continued Role on the XRPL Unique Node List

The UK Centre for Blockchain Technologies (UK CBT) highlights the continued contribution of University College London (UCL) in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) network. Since 2019, UCL has operated a dedicated XRPL validator, part of the network’s Unique Node List.
The UCL validator supports the network by verifying transactions and participating in the XRPL consensus process, contributing to the integrity and diversity of the ledger.
UCL’s ongoing participation underscores its role as a trusted academic node within the global XRPL ecosystem. This engagement promotes decentralised governance and provides opportunities for research collaboration, supporting the continued development and study of digital finance infrastructure.
By maintaining its validator, UCL demonstrates the value of academic involvement in blockchain networks, bridging research, education, and practical contributions to decentralised systems.
